CMMI APPRAISAL
Evaluation of process capability or organization maturity using CMMI® is termed as Appraisal. The method to conduct CMMI Appraisal is defined in SCAMPI MDD (Method Description Document). Only certified professionals are authorized to conduct CMMI Appraisal and provide result in terms of Maturity (Capability) Level ratings. The appraisal result is published at PARS (Published Appraisal Result for SCAMPI).
IQI is authorized Transition Partner with certified professionals to provide CMMI Appraisal (SCAMPI). IQI optimizes the effort of appraisal by training organization members & utilizing their expertise to understand the processes. It helps organization to use members’ expertise in future for continuously improvement program.

KNOWLEDGE AND RESOURCES
CMMI is defined in terms of Process Area (PA), which are group of tasks to be performed to accomplish particular activity. For example Project Planning (PP) process area defines all tasks to be performed to plan the project. There are total 22 PAs. There is another dimension defined in this model known as Level (Capability or Maturity), which applies to all PAs similarly. The level focuses on what need to be accomplished in PA and Level 2 to 5 focus on how good PA can be performed. These concepts are explained during CMMI trainings.
